TORONTO — Postmedia Network Canada Corp. says it’s exiting the flyer distribution business as it adapts to shifting consumer behaviours and a changing media landscape.
The move will result in the loss of 50 full-time and 200 part-time jobs.
The Toronto-based media company says it’s working with clients and partners to ensure a smooth transition.
Flyer distribution is to be phased out beginning June 8 and completed by the end of August.
Postmedia says it’s directing investment and resources toward the areas of greatest impact and opportunity.
It says the decision will allow it to “keep pace with industry change, respond to consumer preferences and maintain its role as Canada’s voice.”
