A 24-year-old man is dead after his motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck on a Toronto street Tuesday morning.

Police want to hear from people who witnessed the crash, which occurred at Marlee Avenue and Glengrove Avenue at about 8:40 a.m.

Traffic services Const. Clint Stibbe said the motorcyclist was travelling north on Marlee when his bike collided with a Ford F-150 that was westbound on Glengrove.

Eastbound and westbound traffic on Glengrove is controlled by stop signs.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision and say it's too soon to determine or rule out any factors.

Because of the fatality, police have closed Marlee Avenue between Glencairn and Coldstream avenues for an investigation.

The road closure is expected to last three to four hours, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information to call investigators at 416-808-1900 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).

Earlier Tuesday morning, a motorcyclist suffered minor injuries in a crash at Warden and Eglinton avenues, an EMS official said.
