WELLAND, Ont. - A police force west of Toronto says its homicide unit is looking into the death of a woman from Welland, Ont.

Niagara regional police say they found the woman at a local home suffering from serious, undisclosed injuries last week.

She was flown to an out-of-town hospital, but police say she died of her injuries on Monday.

The name of the 29-year-old woman has not been released.

Police say their homicide unit is now leading the investigation, but they provided no other details.

They have not announced any arrests in the case.
