At least one person is dead after a small SUV collided with a transport truck in Port Hope Saturday evening.
OPP said the collision happened around 7:15 p.m. on Country Road 28 near Dale Road in Hope Township when the southbound SUV and the northbound transport truck collided head-on.
OPP described the collision as fatal, but did not release further details.
Technical Traffic Collision Investigators responded to the scene and County Road 28 was shut down in both directions. The road is not expected to reopen until early Sunday morning.
The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
Police said the names of the drivers would not be released until the families had been notified.
