ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, Ont. -- Provincial police say they are searching for a 23-year-old suspect who an officer shot at near the municipality of Arran-Elderslie, Ont.

They say officers were inspecting a suspect vehicle on Thursday when the male driver fled, striking two police cruisers and injuring an officer.

Police say an officer discharged a firearm at the driver, but it is not known if the suspect was injured.

Police say an arrest warrant has been issued for the man who is wanted for multiple offences including dangerous driving and assaulting a peace officer.

Police describe the suspect as white, five-foot-eight, 152 pounds, thin build, with brown hair and blue eyes and last seen in a stolen black Dodge 3500.
