A 29-year-old man from Pickering is dead after a rollover off Highway 401 in Whitby, Ontario Provincial Police say.
The driver was ejected from a Mercedes-Benz that he was driving when the eastbound car veered off the highway, travelled down an embankment and struck a fence.
Police said the man was the car’s lone occupant and he died at the scene.
The single-vehicle crash occurred near Thickson Road at about 2:40 a.m.
OPP are investigating the cause of the crash.
Police are asking anyone with information about the rollover to call investigators at 905-668-3388.
