Police arrest man after reported attempted abduction

LONDON, Ont. -- A 22-year-old man is being questioned in London, Ontario after what police suspect was the attempted abduction of a child.
Police say a man allegedly tried to leave the city's Gibralter Trade Centre at about 5 p.m. on Sunday with a five-year-old girl.
When challenged, the man released the girl's hand and fled on roller blades.
A suspect was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Police said those charges are related to his arrest.
Police also say the circumstances surrounding the reported abduction attempt are still under investigation.
