Woman struck by truck in west end

An elderly woman was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a transport truck in the city’s west end Wednesday morning.

It happened on Dundas Street west of Dufferin Street at around 10:55 a.m.

According to Const. Wendy Drummond, the woman was briefly pinned under the truck before being freed and taken to hospital via ground ambulance.

Traffic Services is investigating.

Dundas Street is closed from Dufferin Street to Brock Avenue as a result.
