Toronto police homicide detectives are investigating after a man and woman fell to their deaths from apartment building balcony in Toronto’s midtown area Sunday night.

Homicide Det. Andy Singh said the bodies were found in unknown circumstances outside a building located at 111 Raglan Avenue, north of the intersection of Bathurst Street and St. Clair Avenue West, around 6 p.m. on Sunday night.

Singh said the man and woman appeared to “have come over the balcony” of a unit in the building.

He said the pair had “a relationship of some kind,” but declined to elaborate. They were both residents of 111 Raglan Avenue.

Investigators are exploring various scenarios to explain what transpired, including the possibility of a murder-suicide, but Singh said police are still in the early stages of the investigation.

Jeff Brown, a resident who lives nearby, told CP24 that other residents heard a loud noise shortly before police arrived. The coroner has also arrived at the scene.

Singh said police are not looking for suspects at this time.
