Police are investigating following the death of a 15-year-old boy shot at a north end apartment building late Monday night.

Officers responded to a call about the shooting around 10:30 p.m. on the third floor of a residential building on Turf Grass Way in the Jane Street and Finch Avenue area.

Toronto Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and rushed the boy to hospital. Paramedics said at the time the teen was without vital signs. Police confirmed early Tuesday morning the boy had died.

Police said Tuesday they’re still trying to determine whether the shooting was intentional or accidental. The death has been classified by police as suspicious.

Three teens were taken in for questioning from the scene Monday night and are still being questioned by police.

Police said the investigation is still in its early stages.
