Toronto police are looking for a vehicle that was involved in an early morning collision that left three people injured on Saturday.

Shortly before 4 a.m., police responded to a collision in the area of Dupont and Dufferin streets.

A pickup truck reportedly rear-ended a white Honda Civic and then fled the scene southbound on Dufferin Street, police said.

The same pickup truck and the same Honda Civic were then involved in a second crash near Park Lawn Road and Lake Shore Boulevard West, and the pickup truck fled the scene, police said.

Three people were transported to hospital, two with serious, non-life threatening injuries and the other with minor injuries, according to Toronto Paramedics.

Police described the pickup truck as an extended cab, 1/2 ton capacity, with two-tone colours with a dark colour on top, a hard shell bed cover, chrome bumpers, chrome or aluminum wheels, a chrome step bar and with front-end damage.

The vehicle was last seen travelling eastbound on Lake Shore Boulevard from Park Lawn Road.

"Investigators would like to speak to local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have witnessed the events or have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident," police said in a press release.
