Police are trying to identify two suspects wanted in connection with an assault investigation at a Scarborough Tim Hortons last month.

According to police, at around 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 13, one suspect walked into a Tim Hortons at 2501 Victoria Park Avenue and approached a 50-year-old man.

Police say the suspect showed the man a piece of paper containing banking information and told the man to pay his debt before leaving the restaurant.

When the man left the restaurant and entered his vehicle, he was confronted by the same suspect who approached him inside the fast-food restaurant as well as a second suspect.

The first suspect pistol-whipped the man, which resulted in facial injuries to the victim.

Both suspects fled the area eastbound on foot.

The first suspect has been described as a black male, who is approximately six-feet tall and weighs about 230 pounds. He was wearing a black coat, black pants, brown shoes and a grey toque. Police have now released a photo of the man in hopes that a member of the public may be able to identify him.

The second suspect has been described by police as a black male who is approximately 25 years old, five-foot-ten, and 180 pounds, with a medium build. He was wearing a red coat and jeans, investigators say.

Anyone with new information about the case is asked to contact Toronto police.
