At least one person was taken to hospital following a five-vehicle crash that shut down a stretch of the QEW in Stoney Creek on Friday morning.
The Fort Erie-bound lanes were closed at Fifty Road for more than three hours to allow Ontario Provincial Police officers to investigate the crash and crews to clear the vehicles and debris off the highway.
The crash occurred at about 5:45 a.m.
No one has been charged, as the cause remains under investigation.
