LONDON, Ont. - Ontario's police watchdog is looking into a man's death in London over the weekend.

The Special Investigations Unit says officers with the London Police Service were called around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night about the welfare of an 18-year-old man.

A friend located the teen in a nearby bog shortly before midnight and called officers.

The SIU says officers performed CPR on the male until paramedics arrived.

The man was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead early Sunday morning.

The Special Investigations Unit is automatically called in to do a review whenever police are involved in a case involving death or serious injury.
