TORONTO -- "Vikings" is bringing in a heavy hitter for its new season.

Toronto Blue Jays slugger Josh Donaldson is heading to Ireland this week to film an episode of the History series.

The reigning American League MVP is apparently a big fan the Canadian-Irish drama.

The all-star third baseman recently tweeted a photo in which he sported a Viking-esque hairstyle inspired by the lead character, Ragnar.

History says Donaldson will play the role of Hoskuld, a Viking warrior. The episode is set to air later this year as part of the fourth season.

The new season premieres Feb. 18 on History.
