Here is a look at the ticket prices for Toronto’s World Cup games as FIFA opens next phase of sales

Published:

Soccer fans can take another shot on goal in the game of winning FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets, but some seats are going for more than a month’s worth of rent in Toronto.

This is the third opportunity fans can attempt to get their hands on tickets to see one (or several) matches in the 48-team tournament, hosted in Canada, Mexico and the United States. The entry period for the third phase of ticketing is open until Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. EST.

With this draw in particular, fans can choose which games they want to see and the ticket tiers they would be willing to spend money on for the tournament, as well as the number of tickets per match they would like to buy.

Up to 40 tickets can be bought at once, with a maximum of four tickets for each game, and the ticket categories range from the best seats in Category 1 to the nosebleeds in Category 4.

Like the other two draws, those who are selected in this “Random Selection Draw” will be informed via email in February if they have been lucky in the latest lottery. FIFA says there can also be “partially successful” applications, where fans will get a number of tickets to one match, but not to all of them that they might have requested.

Not only is this the first draw where fans can select the exact games they want to be at, it is the first since the group matchups were finalized for next year’s tournament.

Toronto is set to welcome Ghana, Panama, Germany, Cote d’Ivoire, Croatia, and Senegal. Two countries have yet to be announced, as it depends on the results of the playoffs that are taking place in March.

The countries that could come to Toronto include Italy, Northern Ireland, Wales or Bosnia and Herzegovina (who will then play Canada for its first-ever FIFA game on home soil), and Iraq, Bolivia or Suriname, who will square off against Senegal on June 26.

In September, FIFA said ticket prices would range from $60 for group-stage matches to $6,730 for the final at the New York New Jersey Stadium on July 19. FIFA says prices will remain the same throughout this ticket sales phase — though the resale market has already garnered wallet-clearing prices in Toronto and Vancouver.

How much are tickets to Toronto’s matches?

Currently on FIFA’s official ticketing platform, the priciest tickets available are to Canada’s first game on June 12, with prices ranging from $1,300 to $3,035.

The next most in demand for Toronto at this time are for the round of 32 match, where it will host Group K runners-up and Group L runners-up, with prices starting at $335 and inching up to $875.

The cheapest tickets in Toronto are for the Ghana v. Panama, and Senegal’s matches, with prices starting at $195 for Category 3 tickets and scaling up to $630 for Category 1.

The Germany v. Cote d’Ivoire matchup on June 20 is currently seeing a range of $305 to $840, while the game against Panama and Croatia, on June 23, has a range of $250 to $700. There were no tickets available for Category 4 online during CTV News Toronto’s cost comparison.

Resale tickets on FIFA’s exchange marketplace will be available for purchase starting Dec. 15.

After this third ticketing phase, FIFA says it will release any remaining tickets in a general sale on a first-come, first-served basis.
