The International Cricket Council board has announced that it will suspend Cricket Canada with “immediate effect due to serious breaches of its membership obligations.”
According to the council, who announced the suspension on Monday, the decision was “mindful of the importance of protecting the interests of Canadian players and ensuring they are not disadvantaged by the governance issues affecting the national governing body.”
Canadian players will be eligible to participate in sanctioned events during the suspension.
