Three people were arrested after a series of early-morning raids at a townhouse complex in the city’s east end.

The raids, which took place at three separate addresses on Chester Le Boulevard near Victoria Park and Finch Avenues at around 6 a.m., are connected to a nearby shooting on May 7.

In that incident, a man was sitting in his car on Bridletowne Circle when he was shot in the back by an unknown assailant. The man was then taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, all three suspects targeted in today’s raids were arrested.

Treyfon Farrell, 18, of Toronto, has been charged with armed robbery, two counts of carrying a concealed weapon, two counts of pointing a firearm, discharging a firearm and aggravated assault.

Shemar Lue, 18, and 22-year-old Henok Mebratu, 22, both of Toronto, have been charged with armed robbery. Lue is also facing one count of possession of property obtained by crime and Mebratu has been charged with three counts of failing to comply with a recognizance.
