Toronto Police are looking for suspects after three people were stabbed in two separate incidents at either end of the city Saturday afternoon.

The first incident took place in the city’s west end. Police say they are looking for a suspect after a female was stabbed in the Steeles Avenue West and Islington Avenue area.

The female was rushed to hospital after police were called to an apartment on San Pietro Way shortly after 3 p.m. Police said she is in hospital in stable condition.

Officers are now looking for a suspect described as a white, 35-year-old male standing five-foot-six, weighing about 180 pounds with short, black hair.

A short time later police said they were looking for a suspect after a separate stabbing at a fast food restaurant near St. Clair Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue.

Police say two men in their teens were stabbed after a confrontation broke out between two groups of men who appeared to know one another.

One of the victims was stabbed in the arm or wrist while the other was stabbed in the abdomen.

All the bystanders fled after the stabbing and both victims were found at an apartment on Dawes Road, police said.

Following the east end incident, police initially said a female had been stabbed. Police later said that information was incorrect.
