KIRKLAND, Que. -- A five-year-old boy and a 69-year-old man are in hospital following a shooting in Montreal's West Island last night.
A 36-year-old man was arrested near the scene without incident and is being detained until he can meet with investigators.
Montreal police received a call at about 7 p.m. about a man in crisis in a home in the suburb of Kirkland.
When they arrived, they discovered the two victims, who were suffering from gunshot wounds.
They were taken to hospital where police say they're now in stable condition.
Police say the suspect knows the victims.
