Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a two-alarm blaze that broke out in a commercial building in Vaughan early Wednesday morning.

A large cloud of smoke billowed out of the building on Drumlin Circle, near Steeles Avenue West and Keele Street, as firefighters battled the flames.

Fire crews were called to the business at about 12:30 a.m. when the fire was noticed by a security guard.

A Vaughan Fire spokesman said the flames were contained to one unit inside the industrial building.

Neighbouring units sustained smoke and water damage, however.

No injuries were reported.

BMW dealership fire

The Drumlin Circle blaze was one of two fires extinguished by Vaughan firefighters overnight.

Late Tuesday night, crews were called in to put out a fire inside a BMW dealership on Steeles Avenue West, east of Bathurst Street, in Thornhill.

A BMW car caught fire inside the service bay, filling the building with smoke.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
