Toronto police are asking the public for help after a veteran’s war medals were stolen a day before Remembrance Day.

Police said service medals from the First World War and Second World War and other objects were stolen from a Toronto homeowner during a break-in Saturday, sometime between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

In addition to the medals, the thief or thieves stole jewelry and personal belongings.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-4300 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
