KINGSTON, Ont. - A 30-year-old Kingston, Ont., woman is facing charges after allegedly biting a city police officer.

Police say a local resident became suspicious of the woman on Wednesday when he saw her leaving his apartment building.

They say they determined the woman had stolen clothing from the building.

Police say they crossed paths with the woman again later that night when they were called to an unspecified disturbance at a local motel.

When police tried to arrest her, they allege she bit an officer on the arm.

She is now facing three charges including assaulting police and theft.
