A German train driver found a box packed with 20 live tarantula spiders accidentally left aboard, police said Friday.

The forgotten parcel -- labelled “Spiders and Scorpions” -- was found on Thursday after a 31-year-old woman disembarked from the train but forgot to take it, federal police in Stuttgart said.

Police officers met the train at the station in the town of Thuebingen and opened the parcel. The owner came and collected her spiders that same day.

According to Stuttgart police, contacted by AFP, the incident did not disrupt rail traffic and the distracted passenger will not face charges.
