U.S. President Donald Trump shared a news article that stated Canada is ‘on notice’ two days after the U.S. inked a deal with Venezuela over its oil reserves.
In a Truth Social post on Sunday, Trump shared a news article on the announcement with the headline: “Trump’s historic oil deal with Venezuela realigns global energy and puts OPEC, Canada on notice.”

The article was by Just The News, an outlet run by American conservative journalist John Solomon.
Written by Solomon and reporter Misty Severi, the article states that Trump’s deal with Venezuela puts “pressure on OPEC and Canada in the race for energy supremacy.”
It quotes an interview with Sam Romain, the chairman of Americans for Energy Dominance, who opined that Canada using its energy exports as leverage in the trade dispute would not work well for Canada.
Trump followed up with a second post over an hour later, saying that Canadian businesses are “pouring” into the U.S.
“We want to make our own cars, etc. That’s what’s going to happen Canada has been ripping us off for years — NO LONGER!” his post reads.
In a separate Truth Social post, Trump also shared another news article from the same organization with the headline: “Christian leaders urge Trump to create legal pathway for Jewish Canadians facing antisemitism.”

According to the article, a national coalition of Christian lawmakers and other community members wrote a letter to Trump, asking the administration to develop a legal route for Jewish Canadians facing antisemitism, to come to the U.S.
