WELLAND, Ont. - A Niagara region police constable has been charged with assaulting a Welland woman.
Frank Dean Rudge, 47, faces two counts of assault after an investigation by the Niagara Regional Police Service led to his arrest Sunday.
Rudge has already been suspended from duty for unrelated reasons.
He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
