KITCHENER, Ont. - Eleven police forces joined for one week on a search and destroy mission aimed at marijuana growing in southwestern Ontario.

For the week ending Monday, police say they destroyed 22,000 pot plants.

The operation, called Project Osabot, was aimed at outdoor grow ops.

It included the RCMP, provincial police and local forces.

The participating forces shared information and intelligence gathered from numerous sources to identify a number of outdoor marijuana grow sites.

Police have not announced any arrests related to the operation.
