A 42-year-old man is dead after being struck by two vehicles in Scarborough late Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the man was struck while attempting to cross from the west to the east side of Midland Avenue near Kilcullen Castle Gate shortly before 5:30 p.m.
The man was thrown into the southbound lanes of Midland Avenue where he was struck a second time.
The driver of the second vehicle failed to remain following the collision, police say.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle that left the scene, which they say will likely have front-end damage.
Police expect to release a description of the vehicle shortly.
