Suspect sought after man stabbed

York police are searching for a male suspect after a man was stabbed Tuesday evening.

Police said the incident occurred in the Jane Street and Major MacKenzie Drive West area.

Police said the victim is in serious condition.

Man struck by bus in Mississauga

UPDATE: An 18-year-old man has been struck by a city transit bus in Mississauga.

Peel emergency services said the man suffered head injuries after he was struck in the Dundas Street West and Confederation Parkway area early Tuesday evening.

The man was transferred to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Townhouse fire in city's west end

Toronto fire services were at the scene of a townhouse fire in the city's west end Tuesday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Toronto Fire Services said crews were called to a fire on Windermere Avenue at 3:25 p.m.

A small fire on the roof of the townhouse and upper patio was quickly put out.

Power outage

Police say no one was hurt after a construction crane bumped a Hydro feeder wire in west-end Toronto at around 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Officials were trying to restore power to the area around Kipling and St. Albans Road more than an hour after the accident occurred.

Woman sexually assaulted: police

Toronto police are alerting the public about a sexual assault that occurred in a residential area Monday afternoon.

Police said a 21-year-old woman was walking along a path between Averill Crescent and Deering Crescent when she was grabbed by a stranger and sexually assaulted.

The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m.

No one has been arrested.

Police said the male suspect is described as Asian, 25 years old and 5-foot-9 with a medium build.

He was clean shaven, has short black hair that is spiked and was wearing a grey T-shirt and blue jeans.
