Monday marks one week since a 17-year-old girl vanished near Forest Hill and police will be at her school in the morning.

Mariam Makhnaishvili has not been seen since she walked her brother to class last Monday.

On Sept. 21, police are holding two assemblies at Forest Hill Collegiate. They hope her classmates will have some information on the girl.

Investigators are following up on a flood of tips, including someone who claims he saw a girl fitting the teen's description at a McDonald's restaurant.

There are reports on Sunday that the police have scaled down the search for the teen from level three.

But police tell CP24 that nothing has changed in the search procedure, however it has been scaled back in terms of manpower to about a dozen officers at the moment.

Anyone with information about the girl’s whereabouts should call Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
