TORONTO - Police say they're treating the death of a disabled 16-year-old Toronto girl as suspicious.
Cynara Ali was found without vital signs last weekend following a reported home invasion at 150 Burrows Hall Boulevard.
Police say the girl's mother told them two men barged into the home last Saturday morning looking for an unspecified package.
One of the men stayed with the girl while the other searched the home with the mother at gunpoint.
The girl, who had been on a living room couch during the incident, was resuscitated by paramedics, but died in hospital the next day.
Det. Sgt. Frank Skubic says police are asking anyone who might have seen anything suspicious in the area to contact investigators.
