Halton Regional Police have identified a 45-year-old man who was found dead in an Oakville business Wednesday.
Police announced Thursday an autopsy is being conducted to confirm how Oakville resident Brian Watson died.
Watson's body was found inside a commercial building at 1244 Speers Rd. shortly before noon.
A neighbouring business owner says three people came to his door and asked him to call 911 after they found the man.
A husky puppy was found alive inside the business.
Police haven't released any information about the suspect or suspects, but are asking anyone with information about the homicide to call investigators at 905-825-4776 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
The homicide is the second in Oakville and fifth in Halton in 2011.
