MILTON, Ont. - A 47-year-old Mississauga man is under arrest after liquid epidural was stolen from a hospital in Milton.

Police allege a man walked into the pharmacy at Milton District Hospital and removed a brown cardboard box containing ten bags of the anesthetic on Oct. 29.

Investigators have yet to recover the missing drug and warn that injecting it into the bloodstream or mixing it with other substances could be fatal.

Epidural is most commonly administered into the spine to relieve pain in women going through labour.

Andrew George Wallace, 47, of Mississauga has been charged with theft under $5,000.
