MONTREAL - It's only a day old, but protesters are already finding creative new ways around Quebec's controversial law aimed at restoring order in the province.

One student group has taken down its web page listing all upcoming protests in an attempt to avoid hefty fines under the new legislation.

Another anonymous web page listing them quickly popped up in its place -- with a note discouraging people from attending.

The disclaimer is meant as a way to avoid new rules applying to protest organizers, who must provide a protest itinerary and could be held responsible for any violence.

It's still not clear to what extent Montreal police will enforce the legislation at a protest planned for Saturday night -- the 26th day of demonstrations.

Montreal police spokesman Ian Lafreniere says the force is still trying to determine the best way to use the new tools available.
