Police are giving the public another chance to find their stolen bikes, weeks after busting a huge bike-theft ring.

Of 2,396 bikes recovered by police, only 496 are back in the hands of their rightful owners, police say.

The remaining bikes can be viewed at 35 Strachan Avenue on the following days.

  • Thursday, August 21, 2008 and Friday, August 22, 2008: noon to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 23, 2008 and Sunday, August 24, 2008: 10 a.m., to 6 p.m.
  • Monday, August 25, 2008 to Friday, August 29, 2008: noon to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 30, 2008 and Sunday, August 31, 2008: 10 a.m., to 6 p.m.
  • Monday, September 1, 2008: closed
  • Tuesday, September 2, 2008 to Friday, September 5, 2008: noon to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday September 6, 2008 and Sunday September 7, 2008: 10 a.m., to 6 p.m.

If you come to find your lost bike, police will need you to show proof of ownership (i.e. store receipts) and identification.

Police are also asking current bike owners to register their bikes.
