KINGSTON, Ont. - Queen's University has hammered out a tentative deal with 430 of its workers.

It potentially averts a lock-out or strike that could affect operations at the Kingston campus.

The details of the agreement won't be released until union members hold a ratification vote.

The workers involved include maintenance and custodial staff, residence staff, lab and library technicians.

They have all been without contracts since the end of June.
