Raptors guard Leandro Barbosa has exercised his contract option to return to Toronto next season, the club announced Saturday.
The six-foot-three Brazilian averaged 13.3 points, 2.1 assists and 24.1 minutes in 58 games last season -- his first in Toronto.
Barbosa made US$7.1 million last season and was second on the team in three-point shooting.
The 28-year-old, who's in his eighth year in the NBA, was voted 2006-07 NBA Sixth Man of the Year while with the Phoenix Suns.
