ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Karri Ramo is still searching for his first win after the Toronto Marlies dropped a 5-2 decision to the Rochester Americans on Wednesday in American Hockey League action.

The 30-year-old Ramo, who is on a professional try-out contract with the Marlies, is 0-3-0 with a 3.80 goals-against average and an .880 save percentage in three starts since joining the Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate.

Nick Baptiste led the way with a hat trick for the Americans (10-15-1), who snapped a four-game losing streak. Kyle Bonis and Dan Catenacci also scored while Cole Schneider tacked on three assists.

Tobias Lindberg and Kasperi Kapanen responded for the slumping Marlies (12-11-2), who are 3-6-1 in their last 10 games.

Linus Ullmark stopped 15-of-17 shots through two period of work for Rochester. John Muse came in to play the third and made eight saves.

Rochester went 0 for 4 on the power play while Toronto scored twice on four chances with the man advantage.
