Yonge Street has reopened between Eglinton and Soudan avenues after glass fell from a high-rise building and shattered on the street below.

Officials say several vehicles on Yonge Street sustained damaged due to the falling glass. There are no reports of injuries.

Toronto police were called to the office building at 2190 Yonge St., at the corner of Eglinton Avenue, at about 11:15 a.m. The one-block stretch of Yonge reopened at about 1:05 p.m.

Glass fell from the building's 14th floor when a window broke, officials say.

The closure was affecting TTC buses on Yonge, but routes are now operating as scheduled.
