One of the unions representing striking city workers says negotiations are continuing past an extended deadline in talks working towards ending the strike that has dragged on for 35 days.

TCEU Local 416 had imposed a deadline, threatening to walk away from negotiations if there was no deal reached by midnight.

After a one hour extension, a union spokesperson emerged saying that talks continue, but she wouldn't say how long they could last.
