Toronto police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a violent stabbing that occurred Saturday morning.

According to police, a 32-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the neck and body with a knife after getting into a physical altercation with another man in the College Street and Spadina Avenue area at around 11 a.m.

The victim was transported to hospital where he received treatment for serious injuries.

Police say the suspect, identified as 46-year-old Alejandro Ernesto Solano-Aguilera, was arrested without incident Sunday afternoon in the Peter and Queen streets area.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.
