Toronto police are asking for help from the public in identifying a man after a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted Friday afternoon.

According to police, the girl was in a checkout line at a store in the Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West area around 3 p.m. when she was squirted with table syrup by the suspect.

The girl was then sexually assaulted by the suspect under the guise of helping her clean up, police said.

The man is described as white, in his late 30s, about 5'7" tall, with short black and white hair.

He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue cargo shorts and black shoes.
