The Toronto District School Board may soon have a proposal for a gay-centric high school in the city.

Approximately 25 people attended a meeting Wednesday evening to discuss the possibility of putting forward a plan for the city’s first and only gay-centric secondary school.

“My idea is for queer-centric curriculum, or a queer-influenced curriculum, to enter into all mainstream TDSB schools,” said Fan Wu, the 20-year-old University of Toronto student who came up with the idea.

The meeting was closed to the media.

The TDSB is currently not involved in the talks.
