San Francisco - A bitter legal dispute is nearing the end between the three surviving members of The Doors.
The California Supreme Court has refused to hear appeals of rulings finding keyboardist Ray Manzarek and guitarist Robby Krieger liable for more than five million dollars.
Lower courts found they improperly invoked The Doors' name and images during a 2003 tour.
The dispute stems from a 1970 agreement signed by the four original band members, including the late Jim Morrison, that any business deal would require their unanimous vote.
The pact was reached following a disagreement over using "Light My Fire" in a Buick TV commercial.
Seven years ago, General Motors offered 15 million dollars to use "Light My Fire" to sell Cadillacs, but drummer John Densmore vetoed the deal.
