TORONTO - Tracey Ullman is joining Canada's wall-to-wall news coverage of the upcoming nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Bell Media says the British comic will add her trademark wit to CTV's live seven-hour broadcast, "William and Kate: The Royal Wedding," to be simulcast April 29 on CTV News Channel, CP24, and online.

Ullman will be stationed at an anchor booth on the north side of Buckingham Palace, near Canada Gate. She'll join CTV anchors and correspondents including Lloyd Robertson, Lisa LaFlamme, Seamus O'Regan, Ben Mulroney, and Jeanne Beker.

Dawna Friesen will lead Global's live coverage -- titled "Wills & Kate: The Royal Wedding" -- from outside the palace, aided by "ET Canada" host Cheryl Hickey and "a long list of royal experts, celebrities and socialites."

Meanwhile, veteran correspondent Peter Mansbridge will helm coverage for CBC-TV and CBC News Network live from London, aided by commentary from Ciara Hunt, former editor of Canada's "Hello!" magazine.

Thousands of TV and radio journalists and technical staff from around the world are expected to be on hand for the union.
