Watch the videos on this page to hear their about their experiences.
Meanwhile, our Remembrance Day coverage begins at 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
We also have a Remembrance Day special from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Guests include:
- A representative from the Historica-Dominion Institute's Memory Project, with a WWII veteran.
- A teacher from Crestwood Prep School who has started a program called "The Oral History Project" and two of his grade 12 students.
- Two recent returnees from Afghanistan, because Remembrance Day isn't only about older veterans.
- History professor Dr. Olivier Courteaux from Ryerson University, who will talk about the recent war veteran rallies, and what Canada should be doing for our vets.
- A special musical performance by Bob Reid of his song "The Highway of Heroes."
