School buses have been cancelled by some school boards due to poor weather and road conditions.
Here is a list of cancellations for Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014:
- Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board: Buses in Dufferin County are cancelled
- Simcoe County: All school buses and vans in the north weather zone are cancelled
- Wellington Dufferin: All school buses and taxis are cancelled in Division 2 (Centre Wellington and Town of Erin), Division 3 (North Wellington) and Division 4 (Dufferin County), and all schools are open except those dependent on transportation
- Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud: Almost all school buses have been cancelled and at least three schools are closed (click here for a full list)
- Buses cancelled for schools in Muskoka for Trillium Lakelands, Honey Harbour Public School, and St. Dominic Catholic Secondary School, Monsignor Michael O'Leary, Saint Mary and Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Elementary schools
- NPSST: Britt, Nobel, Mactier, Humphrey, Rosseau, McDougall, Whitestone, Town of Parry Sound
- All buses to schools in Owen Sound
- The Owen Sound campus of Georgian College is closed
- Bluewater District School Board: All schools and the Bluewater Education Centre in Chesley are closed
- Meaford and Thornbury: Beaver Valley Community, Georgian Bay Secondary, Meaford Community, St.Vincent Euphrasia schools are closed, all buses cancelled
- Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board: All schools and the Catholic Education Centre in Hanover are closed
- Student transportation is cancelled for Fort Erie, Port Colborne and Wainflee
- All buses into Walkerton, Mildmay, Formosa and Chepstow
- All buses into Dundalk, Flesherton, Markdale and Maxwell
