The holiday season may be over but many people still have one more day off before heading back to work.
Because New Year's Day fell on a weekend, some people have Monday off as a statutory holiday, while some services and stores are operating on holiday or weekend schedules.
Here's a list of what's open and closed:
- The TTC is operating on a holiday schedule
- GO Transit is operating on a Sunday schedule
- Most malls and stores are open
- Banks and government offices are closed
Meanwhile, city hall is opening its doors at 2 p.m. for the annual New Year's levee, hosted by Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.
