Witnesses have been credited with stopping an attempted abduction in Etobicoke on Wednesday after a man was seen trying to force a child into a vehicle.
Police say witnesses intervened and held the suspect for police.
A 53-year-old man faces abduction and criminal harassment charges.
The abduction attempt occurred near Lake Shore Boulevard West and Royal York Road. Police believe the suspect also attempted to lure children into his vehicle in the same neighborhood yesterday.
