Toronto police have arrested a 27-year-old Whitby man in connection with the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl aboard a GO train last week.

Police say the girl was travelling on the Lakeshore East line when she noticed that a man sitting close to her appeared to be taking pictures of her with a cellphone at around 4 p.m. on Feb. 6.

As the train approached the Rouge Hill station, police allege the man sexually assaulted the victim.

The man then followed the victim off the train a short distance before fleeing.

On Wednesday, a suspect identified by police as Christopher Fraser was arrested in connection with the incident.

He faces a number of charges including sexual assault, voyeurism and criminal harassment.

Fraser is scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning.

Police believe there may be more victims.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7474 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
